Due to the dynamic nature of the luxury travel industry, rates, package inclusions, and policies are subject to change by the hotel without prior notice. What's Included in Your Stay?
The nightly rate is fully inclusive, covering virtually everything you need for a seamless and luxurious experience:
- All meals: Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner.
- Beverages: House wines, spirits, beers, and soft drinks. (Premium champagne and imported wines/spirits are excluded).
- Transfers: Complimentary arrival/departure transfers within Nairobi and chauffeured transportation around the Karen and Langata area*.
- Activities & Amenities: Laundry, Wi-Fi, entrance to the AFEW Giraffe Centre, dining in the Orchid House, and access to the wellness facilities at The Retreat (pool, gym, steam room, sauna, hot tub).
- VAT and all government taxes.
*Transfers are included if collection is after 11:30 am on arrival day and before 10:00 am on departure day.
Important Policies & Extras
- Check-in / Check-out: Strictly 12:00 pm and 10:00 am, respectively. The intimate nature of the manor means there is no lobby for waiting. For early arrivals or late departures, booking a Day Room or Pass at The Retreat is highly recommended.
- Children: Children aged 3-11 pay the child rate. Those 12 and older are considered adults. Infants under 2 stay free of charge.
- Exclusive Vehicle: An open-sided 4x4 for game drives in Nairobi National Park can be booked for $490 per day (exclusive of park fees).
- Closure Dates: The Historic Manor is closed from April 21 to May 18, 2025. The Garden Manor is closed from April 1 to May 31, 2025.
How to Book the Historic vs. Garden Manor
This is a crucial detail for potential guests. The manor has two sections:
- Garden Manor (6 rooms): Open for anyone to book.
- Historic Manor (6 rooms): Reserved exclusively for guests who are also staying at one of The Safari Collection's other bush properties (Sala's Camp, Sasaab, or Solio Lodge) for a minimum of two nights.
This policy ensures guests on a full safari circuit with The Safari Collection have access. If your plans change and you cancel the bush portion of your trip, your Historic Manor reservation will be moved to the Garden Manor, subject to availability.
