Historic vs. Garden Manor Booking

The manor comprises two sections: the original Historic Manor (6 rooms) and the newer Garden Manor (6 rooms). A crucial policy states that bookings for the Historic Manor are reserved exclusively for guests also staying at one of The Safari Collection's bush properties for a minimum of two nights. The Garden Manor is open for all guests to book. If the bush portion of a trip is cancelled, the Historic Manor booking is forfeited and may be moved to the Garden Manor, subject to availability.

Check-in, Check-out & Early/Late Arrivals

Check-in is from 12:00 noon and check-out is by 10:00 am, with strict adherence required due to the intimate, residential nature of the property. There is no traditional lobby for waiting. For guests with early flights or late departures, The Retreat next door offers bookable Day Rooms, Day Passes, or Early Bird Packages. These can be booked by Giraffe Manor guests up to 12 weeks prior to arrival, or by anyone as a standalone destination four weeks prior, subject to availability.

Children, Closures & Extras

Children: Ages 3-11 are charged a child rate. Ages 12+ are considered adults. Infants under 2 stay free.
2026 Closure: Giraffe Manor will be closed from April 10 to May 10, 2026, inclusive.
