Planning a trip to Treehotel in Swedish Lapland involves a few unique considerations. We've compiled the most common questions to ensure your adventure is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Getting There & Transportation

How do I get to Harads?
The closest airport is Luleå Airport (LLA), about a 70-minute drive away. The nearest train station is in Boden, a 35-minute drive from Harads. Treehotel can arrange transfers from either location, or you can rent a car. Helicopter transfers are also available upon request.

Do I need a car?
While not strictly necessary, a rental car offers flexibility to explore the wider region. Treehotel can arrange transfers for airport, activities, and local needs if you prefer not to drive.

Before You Arrive

What about my luggage?
For rooms reached by ladder (The UFO and The Bird’s Nest), large luggage is stored in a designated room at check-in. You can borrow a backpack for essentials. Staff can assist with delivering your bags.

Is there internet access?
Yes. Powerful broadband is available throughout the property, and all treerooms are equipped with WiFi.

When should I book activities?
We recommend booking activities well in advance via email (booking@treehotel.se) or phone to guarantee your spot, especially as many include meals.

The Rooms & Facilities

Are the bathrooms equipped?
All rooms feature state-of-the-art, odorless Cinderella incinerating toilets. Four rooms (Dragonfly, Biosphere, Blue Cone, 7th Room) have eco-showers. For other rooms, showers and saunas are available in adjacent facilities, with towels and robes provided.

Is the tap water safe to drink?
Yes. Sweden's tap water is exceptionally clean and safe to drink. The water in the northern lakes and brooks is also pure.

What happens in a power outage?
Outages are rare. Electronic ladders can be operated manually, so you will never be stuck in your treeroom.

During Your Stay

How do I get to my room?
The treerooms are a 500-meter walk from the main guesthouse along a prepared forest trail. For those who cannot or prefer not to walk, car transport can be arranged.

Can I visit the treeroom area without being a guest?
To protect guest privacy, the area is private. Guided tours can be booked in advance. Unaccompanied visits are possible on weekdays between 12 PM and 4 PM for a small fee.

Can I take pictures of the rooms and guests?
Photography of the architectural structures is encouraged, but we ask that you respect the privacy of other guests and avoid photographing them or their private spaces.

Does Treehotel have facilities for meetings and conferences?
